Consumer
The Malta Communications Authority is committed to safeguard the interests of consumers of fixed and mobile telephony, internet, TV, postal and eCommerce services. As part of its activities, the consumer protection team handles consumer queries and investigates complaints encountered by consumers related to any of these services. The MCA regularly monitors the sectors it regulates and undertakes the necessary action on whenever it identifies practices which are harmful to consumers. The MCA also plays an important role in providing information to consumers about their rights and obligations in order to enable to take informed decisions. The consumer protection team is regularly invited in TV and radio programmes to discuss developments occurring in these sectors which are of interest to consumers and also regularly publishes tips and recommendations on social media platforms and other media.
The MCA is committed to deliver a high standard of service that reflects transparency, accountability, and efficiency.
