Award of Trusted Flagger Status to the Foundation for Social Welfare Services under Article 22 of the Digital Services Act

Following the application submitted by the Foundation for Social Welfare Services (hereinafter ‘FSWS’) on 4th October 2024 and a presentation given by FSWS on the 4 December 2024 outlining FSWS reporting procedures, the Malta Communications Authority, as Malta’s Digital Services Coordinator (hereinafter ‘DSC’) has reviewed and evaluated FSWS’s eligibility against the criteria outlined in Article 22(2) of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 19 October 2022 on a Single Market for Digital Services and amending Directive 2000/31/EC (hereafter ‘the Digital Services Act’ or ‘DSA’). 

Based on the evaluation, the FSWS has demonstrated compliance with the applicable requirements, specifically within their area of expertise.
