International Meetings
During the past two weeks, our legal representative participated in a meeting on Galileo in Brussels, whilst our External Relations Manager attended the Contact Network Meeting held in Sweden.
MCA Publications
- Subscriber Contracts – Proposals and Clarifications to Decision (MCA/C/12-1282): In July 2012, the MCA published a Decision on “Subscriber Contracts” which specifies the manner by which any undertaking providing any electronic communications service/s is required to conclude agreements with end-users and the information to be included in such contracts. Since the publication of the aforementioned Decision, there have been further representations by undertakings relating to a variety of technical, operational and commercial matters. Following the publication of its Decision, the Authority felt the need to revise this and is doing so by virtue of this proposal for amendment. - eBusiness awards 2012 – Applications are now open!: The MCA announced that applications for nominations for the second edition of the MCA eBusiness Awards are now open. This year’s award categories are the following:
- Best eGovernment Initiative
- Best use of Technology in the Tourism Sector
- Best eCommerce Site (B2C)
- Best use of Social Media
- Best B2B Application
- Best Mobile Application (Mobile Phone and Tablet)
- Best eBusiness Idea of the Year

- Recruitment: The MCA is seeking to recruit a Project Coordinator and an Education Campaign Coordinator for the BeSmartOnline Project. These vacancies are currently at the ETC Part 1 stage. (See: http://www.mca.org.mt/careers)
